Nicole Scherzinger Passed On Recording Calvin Harris’ ‘We Found Love’ Before Rihanna
Posted by on Feb 22, 2013

Nicole Scherzinger has admitted that she passed
on  a version of Calvin Harris’ widely successful ‘We Found Love’ before it found its way
to Rihanna.  A missed opportunity indeed. In the upcoming issue of Notion magazine,
Nicole says,“I passed on ‘We Found Love‘. I’ve got the demo of that song
and I was busy at the time. They’d sent me a few dance tracks
and I wasn’t able to get to them and I was like ‘oh there’s so much dance a
nd I want to take a break from it’.” Of course now realizing what a mistake that
actually was she says regretfully, “That was my fault. I slept on it.”
However she isn’t the only one who made this mistake.
Leona Lewis revealed months ago that she too passed up on
We Found Love” citing,  ”It was the same version and production but mine’s better.”

Nicole also shared with Notion magazine
that that she rejected Gnarls Barkley‘s hit Crazy,
while also revealing the Pussycat Dolls were once offered
Lady Gaga‘s debut single, Just Dance.

Hindsight is always 20/20.
