Nas Says Women In Hip Hop “Have to Stop Playing Man’s Game When It Comes To Artistic Shit”

Huck magazine recently had an in-depth interview with Nas. They talked with the rapper about everything from his own fears, success and women in hip hop today. Nas happily admitted that was a fan of female MC’s Azealia Banks and Nicki Minaj. He also went on to say that it’s women’s time in hip hop but women are “under the illusion that they’re being blocked, so women have to stop playing man’s game when it comes to artistic shit. They have to just go and do it. Stop worrying about where you fit in. Just go and do it.”

Many times Nicki Minaj, who’s really been the driving force of female MC’s today,  has publicly come out and said that she gets treated differently because she is a woman and how she has to fight a little harder to the same respect that the men in her industry gets.  Is she delusional or is this her reality that Nas himself has never and will never experience?
