It has been announced today that actress Jurnee Smollett will be joining the cast of HBO‘s True Blood during its upcoming sixth season. Her regular character will be Nicole Wright, described as “wide-eyed… who is not concerned with money and more concerned with the common good and doing what’s right.”  True Blood‘s sixth season is scheduled to begin in June. Smollett also stars in Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor, due out in theaters March 29, 2013.
