Beyoncé, during her Superbowl press conference today:

“…I will absolutely be singing live, Beyonce told the assembled crowd at the New Orleans Convention Center. The former Destiny’s Child artist said she was slightly in awe of her surroundings as she took in the the home of Super Bowl XLVII. “I’m nervous. When I was driving up, I got chills looking at the Superdome. There’s so much history there,” the Grammy award winning performer said. The Grammy award winning performer hadn’t commented on the inauguration lip syncing controversy publicly prior to the press conference, although the U.S. Marine Band confirmed the morning after the inauguration that she lip-synced and the band only pretended to accompany her, then by evening retracted that confirmation, saying no one in the band was in a position to know. “Typically, they have you sing a pre-recorded track in case something goes wrong,” Beyonce said. “I was singing along with the prerecorded track.” [via USA Today]
