Singer Shakira confirmed on her official website that she and her boyfriend Spanish footballer Gerard Piqué are expecting their first child. The two have been dating since March 2011.

Because of her pregnancy Shakira has decided to take some time off from performing and appearances. It was also recently announced that Shakira will be the new judge of ‘The Voice‘ next season along with R&B singer Usher.
