It was announced today that singer Janelle Monáe is the newest face of  CoverGirl cosmetics.  The singer has joined a line-up of iconic faces from Queen Latifah, to Taylor Swift and as of last week signer Pink.

Monáe says she looks forward to reaching young women who may be flipping through the pages of a magazine at home. “I believe in the idea of every woman finding their own beauty superpowers. I want to help redefine what it means to be a strong woman in the music and fashion worlds.”
