Evelyn Lozada-Johnson is the queen of stretching 15 minutes of fame into a profitable venture that includes t-shirts, jewels, and a VH1 spinoff – Evelyn & Chad. In fact, Johnson is the resolute version of Kim Kardashian, without the pimping momager. As Lozada-Johnson prepares to share her wedding with the world, she spills the deets to YRB.
On Marriage to Chad Ochocinco: “There is pressure making sure we focus on each other and we don’t entertain the BS that goes on outside our house, because there are always a million and one stories going on.”
On Baby Ochocincos: “Right now I’m focused on my career, and that’s it. I don’t think that me having a baby right now would fit into my lifestyle of me working so hard and traveling. I’d want to be there.”
On Role Model Status: “I’m human just like you are. I make mistakes. Just from meeting people at my book signings, I know I have a lot of people that support me. I’m accepting of that now. Knowing I have so many eyes watching me lets me know I need to be a better example for younger children. It’s a little tough sometimes, but now I get it.”
On Basketball Wives Regrets: “I think the one regret that I do have is throwing a bottle at one of my cast members (Jennifer Williams) during an altercation. That’s something that I’m embarrassed about and if I could take it back, I would. I did learn from it, and I won’t be throwing bottles at anyone else.”
On Friendship with Jennifer Williams: “Jennifer and I spoke after the reunion. I told her that I meant what I said and she wished me a happy Mother’s Day. I don’t wish her anything harm, I wish her only the best. I feel like a lot is going on in both of our lives and we are friends with a lot of mutual people so maybe one day we’ll go out and… you never know.”
