“R&B Divas”: TV One’s new reality show, starring Monifah Carter, Nicci Gilbert, Faith Evans, Syleena Johnson & Keke Wyatt debuts on the network on August 20 at 10 PM [EST], and will chronicle the life, and [in most cases] the hard times of these former stars.
Is this show going to be a messy reminder of the many casualities left behind by the constantly changing entertainment industry, or will it provide a more introspective look at what happens when everyone starts to grow up, and out, of their 15 minutes of fame. While many will be watching just to hear what has been going on with the ladies since they dropped out of the headlines, others will tune in to see what happens next to these former chart topping songstresses, as the ladies of “R&B Divas” try to recapture some of the past success and former stardom that they once had.
