VH1′s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta has been getting an overwhelming amount of criticism after the first episode aired this past Monday night. The show seemed to take “ratchetness” to new levels and people are not happy. The show’s producer, Mona Scott-Young, took to Twitter to speak out against the show’s haters and stand up for her hot mess of a series.
“You know what they say..”Shoot the messenger”. But more simply, if you don’t like the show…DON’T WATCH IT! Freedom of choice!! I just … the folks talking s*** but glued to the screen. Change the damn channel!! LOL!”
True. Nobody is forcing anyone to watch this crap [thus why I have yet to]. However, the blame should be placed on the women who chose to sign up for the show and put their lives on display in such away that is almost embarrassing and degrading to themselves.
I think it would be more helpful for viewers if before every
God forsaken episode there was the disclaimer: FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY.
