In anticipation of this summer’s 2012 Olympics in London, CoverGirl has signed US Olympic hopefuls, boxer Marlen Esparza and beach volleyball player Jennifer Kessy, to be the faces of the brand’s print and TV ads. Marlen Espera is thrilled to be apart of the CoverGirl family and feels that she can represent the company well stating, “I feel that I embody the image of CoverGirl and that anyone can be beautiful, and is deserving of beauty no matter what your personal situation is.” Jennifer Kessy is equally excited and says ”We are athletes and in turn we are the everyday women. CoverGirl is celebrating the fact that beauty and femininity can come in so many forms. To be able to convey this to girls and women is a very good feeling.”
Beginning in late-May, both Jennifer and Marlen will rock their CoverGirl faces, celebrating the power and strength in beauty. The new CoverGirls will be the face of game-changing CoverGirl products, LashBlast Volume and Outlast All-Day Lipcolor, which will be available in special, limited-edition packaging for the London 2012 Olympic Games. They will be available at mass retailers nationwide beginning May 2012.
