Former Danity Kane and Diddy-Dirty Money member, Dawn Richards, has decided to fly solo. She has just released her Armor On EP on iTunes and the video for it’s first single “Bombs” premiered today. Her fans have been on her musical journey with her since the early days of ’Making The Band’, and now they can get excited about Dawn finally branching out on her own. Her former boss and band-mate Diddy supported her so much that he let her out of her Bad Boy Records contract. Dawn said, “Puff has been really great with being supportive of me starting a solo career, and he’s agreed to let me go from Bad Boy. I’m really grateful to him. He didn’t have to do that. He could have been what they say that he would be, and he wasn’t at all. He gave me a business decision. It was a very amicable decision. Now, it’s just about the music, and I want to make him and them proud of believing in me enough to let me go try it.”
In addition to her new video she is also the cover girl for the debut print issue of Heed Magazine, which will be available nationally at Barnes and Nobles, starting on April 10th. It seems like Dawn is everywhere and is quickly making a name for herself. Who knows, maybe there really is life after Bad Boy…
