Bebe’s Bridal Collection Has Arrived
Posted by on Mar 29, 2012

Calling all ladies that love everything with ruffles, rhinestones, and unnecessary flare, Bebe’s Bridal Collection is here.  With almost everyone looking to collaborate these days with designers, the company of course enlisted “Project Runway” alum Rami Kashou to design the collection.  Kashou’s collection of ten white gowns , which ranges in price from $289 to $2,500, employs color names like “marshmellow” and “cloud dancer”; common features include fish tail silhouettes, tight bodices, and lots of layered tiers.  And what Bridal line wouldn’t be complete without a Kate Middleton inspired gown. There’s also a wide rang of bridesmaid’s dresses that could be mistaken for modest [for BeBe] club wear. Yes,  Bebe has definitely provided a look for the bridal party who who plans on getting bottle service  right after the wedding.

There’s an additional collection of wedding-themed clothing, including velour sweatpants and sweatshirts with “Bride” and “Bridesmaid” printed on them in rhinestone letters [Did I mention that "Bride" and "Bridesmaid" thongs are also available?]. Other bride-themed apparel include white platform flip-flops decorated with a white fake flower and “Bride” spelled along the heel in rhinestones [of course!].  You can also purchase other tacky accessories that you might need for your big day such as veils, jewelry, shoes, and much more.

Overall, it is clear this bridal collection is part of Bebe taking big steps in revamping itself. Last year they became one of the first brands to actually distance itself from the Kardashians. Emilia Fabricant, has said that Bebe will focus on tamer office-friendly separates and what’s more, in the ultimate statement of maturity, they wanted to expand into bridal-wear. But, it seems like they went from one extreme to another. Bebe needs to find a happy medium, a look that can grow and mature with their customers, not rush them into marriage.
