Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul will not be returning for the next season of X-Factor.  Paula not returning is a way bigger shock than Nicole, seeing that she has been judging with Simon since the early years of American Idol. Even though all of  Paula’s mentees were eliminated rather early last season, Nicole instantly became public enemy number one with her refusal to vote which ultimately lead to fan favorite Rachel Crow’s departure from the show.  Nicole did however have a contestant that made it all the way to the final three and went on have multiple recording deals offered to him.  However, it was confirmed by FOX today that she will not be judging in season two of  X-Factor.  The news of  Paula’s departure has not been confirmed by FOX as of yet, but it has been reported by E! News that she was informed today that won’t be needed for the series’ next installment.  Also, not coming back is host Steve Jones. As of now Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid are the only ones returning for season two [Thank God!].

The question on everyone’s mind now is “Who will be the new judges?”. Many speculate Mariah Carey as a possible judge, since she was scheduled to come on the show last season, but due to her pregnancy, and traveling complications, her appearance became impossible. Mariah judging would be a complete dream come true, but just in case this dream doesn’t come to reality…who would you like see be a judge on the next season of X-Factor?
