Rapper [and skateboarder] Lil Wayne officially launched his TRUKFIT clothing line during Market Week in New York. Models sporting the T-shirts and snapbacks were painted silver and rocked camouflage shorts and Vans sneakers to complete the look. Some members of Young Money were also in attendance to support Weezy in his fashion efforts. The line TRUKFIT stands for “The Reason You Kill For It” and is Weezy’s new skate apparel and accessories line. The line will consist of mostly graphic tees, snap backs, and crew sweaters. TRUKFIT is described as “a brand representing independent kids from anywalk of life—regardless of race, class, color, or income.”
The mission statement of the brand goes as follows:
As a brand, TRUKFIT is a state of mind – it is about being yourself, having fun, being free, being driven and being able to express all these elements and more. TRUKFIT will be launched at Zumiez stores across the nation, as well as at Zumiez.com and Karmaloop.com starting in February.
