Designer du jour, Jason Wu [best known for designing first Lady Michele Obama's inauguration dress] has partnered retail giant Target for a capsule collection that starts at the oh so amazing price point of $19.99. The target market (no pun intended) that Target opens up for Wu will allow him to build greater visibility for his high end eponymous womenswear label, while at the same time offer his sophisticated and chic Target collection designs to consumers who truly appreciate getting “the look for less”. The collection hits stores in February 2012, and you can get a preview of some of the pieces in the style gallery below.
