The Weeknd has been having the best year ever. Undoubtedly 2011 has been an exceptional year for the young artist from Canada. He has gained huge recognition and thousands of fans from releasing his music via internet. He even caught the eye of fellow Canadian, rapper Drake and was featured on his platinum album “Take Care“.  Before 2011 comes to a close The Weeknd was sure to give his listners one last treat, “Echoes Of Silence“, which is his third mixtape of the year. He released the album Wednesday night, but due to the high volume of traffic, his website crashed.

“Echoes Of Silence” gives us all of The Weeknd‘s musical wonders.  He does a brilliant cover of Michael Jackson‘s “Dirty Diana” and of course has his original music included as well.  If you aren’t familar with The Weeknd‘s music, fair warning he’s about seven times more ‘emo’ than Drake, so if that’s not your cup of tea he isn’t the artist for you. But for the rest you softies …enjoy.
