British born professional boxer Dudley O’Shaughnessy isn’t just another pretty face. He’s the face that caused millions of tweets when it was revelead that he would play the lead “romantic” role in Rihanna’s latest video “We Found Love“. Was it his good looks? That could be part of it. Perhaps it was was his uncanny resemblance to Rihanna’s ex-boyfriend R&B superstar Chris Brown. Whatever it was, once the video premiered and the concept of the video; sex, urgency, love, and anger were all played out on screen it became solidfied in the public’s mind that this must be art imitating life, and this was the visual interpretation of Rihanna’s troubled past relationship. It didn’t help that the media started alleging that O’Shaughnessy and Ri Ri became romantically involved after filming the video. Or maybe it did. O’Shaughnessy has always found steady work as a model, and his boxing abilities have taken him to the Olympics, but this particular gig as “video hearthrob” may be the one that helps him find fame in a whole new way.
