Deion Sanders is ready to sign those papers!

This morning the NFL Hall of Famer officially served his wife, Pilar Sanders with divorce papers in Houston, Texas.  Pilar is Deion’s second wife of 12 years and the mother of three of his children.

Most will be surprised that Pilar wasn’t the one filing first due to so many rumors flying around about Deion’s cheating ways. However, it is being reported that Deion is tired of Pilar being a diva and a woman that always needs to be in the spotlight. You may recall that Pilar did a stint on VH1′s “Football Wives” and also had a guest spot on Vh1′s “Single Ladies“. As if that wasn’t enough Pilar is also trying her hand in music. Basically Pilar has been getting a lot of shine lately and it seems that Deion wants to be the only star shining in his house.

Here’s what each  had to say in regards to the split:

Deion:

“Enough is enough. I never signed up for all this. Enough is enough. If I wanted a model or a television star I would have married one a long time ago. All I wanted was a housewife.”

Pilar :

“It’s unfortunate that my husband decided to take this course of action…I’m surprised and hurt… As I said to my children, we must take a minute breath and Trust God.”

Overall it will be interesting to see how this one plays out.  I liked them as a couple but I guess this marriage was like a party and parties weren’t meant to last.
