Dancing with the Stars has bid adieu to co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet.
Burke-Charvet has been co-hosting the ABC show with funnyman Tom Bergeron for more than five-years. She released a statement about her departure saying, “I have enjoyed seven seasons co-hosting ‘DWTS’ but understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture.”
Dancing with the Stars executive producer Conrad Green also released a statement, saying, “We can confirm that Brooke Burke-Charvet will not be joining us next season. She’s been a wonderful part of the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ family since her triumphant win in season seven and will unquestionably be missed by our entire team. We’d like to thank Brooke for her years of great service.”
Burke-Charvet’s departure is just one of the many changes fans will see in the upcoming season. A few weeks back it was announced that the producers fired the show’s 28-member orchestra and opted to replace them with a small electric band in the hopes to attract a younger demographic.
Season 18 of Dancing with the Stars begins March 17, on ABC!
