Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta‘s Benzino has decided to make some lemonade out of lemons.
In what seems to be an act of revenge, the rapper-publisher has released the music video for a track called, “Smashed Da Homie.”
The song is in reference to allegations former flame Karlie Redd made, stating that Benzino bragged about ‘smashing’ Joseline Hernandez. They both vehemently denied the encounter, but after Stevie J confronted Zino about his actions towards Hernandez and the rumor, the two men decided to pull the plug on their friendship.
This video is either an admission of guilt on Benzino’s part, or it’s his way of sticking it to Stevie J and the Puerto Rican Princess, as she calls herself.
Not only does the song and video contain audio clips from L&HHATL, but Benzino even hired a Joseline Hernandez look-a-like, to play his leading lady.
The video looks like it was shot with an iPhone 5 in a sleezy motel, with some outside shots mixed in. The lyrics are repetitive and basic, and Benzino’s rapping skills are sub-par at best.
