The Summer Olympics kicks off this August and even though the occasion is about how the athletes perform and bringing home a gold medal, but there are some of us who also tune-in to see what the athletes are wearing.
Nike recently unveiled the official track outfits for TEAM USA and they are definitely something to talk about. This time around, the track outfits are said to be the fastest suits ever made.
Apparently, the new Nike Pro TurboSpeed uniforms (shown above and below) are 0.23 seconds faster across 100 meters than the Nike suits used in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Instead of a red, white & blue pattern, these new suits are red but they are made in a way that makes them appear as though they “disappear” on the athlete. According to BizJournals, Nike calls it “minimized distraction,” making it so lightweight and comfortable that the runners aren’t distracted by the garment.
Nike also unveiled the official attire athletes will be sporting on the medal stands. Check out photos of that gear below. For the full portfolio of clothing TEAM USA will be donning, visit www.NikeInc.com.
