Say good-bye to Madea and hello to Wesley Deeds…well for a little while anyway. Tyler Perry takes on a more serious role in his upcoming film, Good Deeds. Perry won’t be wearing a wig or swinging a gun around in this flick.
The movie tells the story of a businessman named Wesley Deeds (Perry) who has his world turned upside down when he helps a single mother (Thandie Newton) in distress and ends up falling for her. In a perfect world the two would get married, have children and live happily ever after. There’s just one problem with that scenario, Deeds is already engaged to a successful businesswoman named Natalie (Gabrielle Union). Deeds then has to decide between the two women, by listening to his heart or his head.
Good Deeds hits theaters on February 24, 2012.
