This month’s must-see movies are in full effect so give your Net Flix Queue a break and trek it to the closest theater. Here’s our list of “catch them before they head to DVD” films:

Black Snake Moan (Paramount Pictures) Black Snake Moan, a tale of sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll, delves deeply into the often harsh realities that drive sexual addiction. The film, complex in its dark beauty, reveals the little acknowledged truth that the road to redemption can be found in the midst of a self-destructive hell.

Norit (DreamWorks Pictures) Eddie Murphy is still America’s favorite comedic chameleon. His hilarious movie Norbit once again proves that Murphy-multiplied equals Murphy-magic. This time he stars in three different roles: the nice-guy title character, his adoptive Chinese guardian, and the feisty fiancée who makes Norbit’s life hell.

Daddy's Little Girls (Lions Gate Films) In Tyler Perry's latest romance, a single father of three (played by undeniably handsome Idris Elba) finds more than legal counsel in his bourgeois custody attorney (Gabrielle Union.) Two hours of Elba alone is reason enough to check out this film, but you'll also enjoy co-stars Malinda Williams, Tracee Ellis Ross and Lou Gossett Jr.—not to mention a stellar soundtrack.
