LA rapper Raven Sorvino pays homage to the Queen Bee on her new track, “V.I.N.O.” featuring Picaso. Sorvino, the first lady of Language Artz put her spin on Lil Kim’s classic “Drugs”. I don’t think I’ve ever heard another female rapper pay homage to Kim and embody her work, while still remaining themselves so seamlessly.

Mae Day has teamed up with Cope again for another collaboration. The first time around was for Cope’s 21 mixtape on the track, “Homecoming”. This time it’s for Mae Day’s new upcoming album, Love & War: All Ain’t Fair. The track is called “Speed Me Up”. Take a listen as both Detroit artists go in!

Gospel duo Mary Mary just released the video for their new single, “Go Get It”. If you’ve been tuning in to their new reality show on We TV then you probably saw the struggles of them recording this song, last night during the episode of their new reality show. “Mary Mary” takes place of The Braxton’s : Family Values Thursday 9PM EST slot.

LiKWUiD just released her new single, “Sight For Sore Eyes”. It features Adrienne Mack-Davis & Donwill of Tanya Morgan. This is the second single from her No Regrets EP. Vixens have you ever been in a situation where you’re bringing home the bacon, cooking, cleaning, taking care of the kids and more? Basically doing everything. Detroit native Boog Brown just released a new single titled “Dope Girl Magic”. The emcee who resides in Atlanta is known to perform this track but it has never been released until now. “Dope Girl Magic” was penned four years ago. So consider this a huge treat.

Maybach Music’s Audra The Rapper is gracing the March/April cover of Celebrity Magazine. In the issue the DMV artist discusses her musical style, being signed to Maybach Music and her message. The issue is available on various college campuses.

It’s been three years since Mae Day released her Sade concept album, Cherish the Day that was the idea of Hip Hop pioneer MC Serch. Since the release of that album the Detroit bred emcee has held her fans over with her 100+ bars series. Now she’s on the brink of releasing her new upcoming album, Love and War: All Ain’t Fair.

As a preview to the new album, she just released “Intro to Love and War” featuring Mike Williams. Vixens what do you think?

I first got acquainted with The (SIS)TEM in 2009, down in Raleigh, North Carolina after seeing them perform during Nanci O‘s Women of Hip Hop awards where I was an honoree. That was my first time ever hearing of the West Coast all female collective of MCs, producers, vocalists and DJs and I was thoroughly impressed. In addition to performing at the award ceremony mentioned previously, these talented women have also performed in front of the likes of Shawnna, Roxanne Shante, Suga T and have opened up for artists such as Freestyle Fellowship and YoYo.  When these talented MCs aren’t rocking stages or aren’t on the 1′s and 2′s making people move their feet out in Los Angeles, hosting a series of Hip Hop events, or talking about the current social and political climate via social media they’re in the studio laying down some of the most diversified tracks.

Over the past few years, I’ve kept an ear out for their solo albums. Kandi Cole’s Works Well With Others. Kandi Cole and Miki Vale as 50/50 and more. Fast forward to now.The Treatment mixtape is here.
