According to Nielsen Media Research Single Ladies is ranked as the number one cable show viewed in black households. The show that is produced by Hip Hop veteran/ silver screen vixen Queen Latifah stars Stacey Dash, Lisa Raye McCoy and Charity Shea. Earlier this week, my fellow Vibe Vixen scribe, Christina Brown informed us that Single Ladies has managed to average nearly 2.8 million viewers per episode and that production on season two is slated to begin this fall. Despite an abundance of criticism Single Ladies was the most watched program in black households during the last week of June and has continued to hold the spot all the way through the second week of July. Hats off to the entire cast and the creator, Stacy A. Littlejohn. As a fan of the show and a cheerleader for black vixens behind the camera, I’m happy. The next episode of Single Ladies will have a guest appearance by Kelly Rowland.
