I love Drew Barrymore for many reasons. One: She is so damn adorable. Those cherub cheeks, bright smile and sweet disposition? Yes, my girl crush for this woman is serious. Second: I was flabbergasted that a woman so cool could have gone to rehab at age 13 and come out even better. If that isn’t a comeback, I don’t know what is.

I love all of her movies, but there is a special place in my pint sized heart for Never Been Kissed. While I don’t consider myself as successful as the fictional Josie Geller, I do connect with her undying passion for writing stories that touch people.

I was never bullied in high school. No one called me “Josie Grossie” or invited me to prom only to throw eggs at my head; however, I was super awkward. Add in the fact that I was the only black kid in a school of thousands, and you can see why I always felt alone.

For me, the best part of Never Been Kissed is watching Josie come full circle—realizing that she had to confront her past, no matter how difficult, in order to move forward in the present. In the end, she wrote a great article for her newspaper and snagged a very hot boyfriend (Hello Michael Vartan!).

At 24 years young, there are still a million goals I strive to accomplish, but like my fictional doppelganger, I write for a great publication (#teamVixen) and yes: My boyfriend is very hot. If you ever need that push to fight for what you want, pop in this rom-com classic.

TNT describes “Dad, Stop Embarassing Me” as the following:

“Every teenager is embarrassed by his/her parents. But what if your dad decided to descend upon your life in every way? Inspired by Jamie Foxx’s relationship with his 18-year-old daughter, this comedy explores the dynamic between a parent and a child and all the embarrassment that comes with it.”

The Oscar winner is also prepping a horror anthology series for the SyFy Channel set to debut this Halloween.

The Latina actress admitted that she wasn’t going to initially take on the role of Uhura because she didn’t want the “added pressure” from following in the original Trek diva Nichelle Nichols. “She’s a beast, a woman that lives her own life,” she said.

It was Nichols who told Saldana to have fun and run with it. “‘You don’t have to listen to what anybody says, you do your thing and that’s it,” Zoe recalled of the original Uhura’s advice.

Still, challenging roles are the bread and butter of the starlet’s career, who opts out of damsel-in-distress roles. “That poor representation of women in our art is boring,” she said. “I don’t want to pay $14 to sit in a theater to watch a man help a woman open a jar.”

While she says she will never play a role that isn’t complex, the 34-year-old would rather wait for a challenge. “I feel like there are enough actresses out there that will say yes to roles like that. They don’t need one more,” she said. “I’m going to be busy sitting and waiting for good roles and they may be a while, but when they do come along, I give a 150% because they challenge me because they represent me.”

Beyoncé’s camp forgot to tell Uncle Larry to answer all questions with “no comment.”

He describes the face of H&M’s summer collection‘s dad similar to the controlling attributes of Joe Jackson. “Everything was geared  toward being famous. She used to get angry at [her father] a lot for taking away her childhood. That affected her.”

He seems to know everything — except what the rest of us still don’t know: the status of Blue Ivy’s sibling.

“I have no idea,” he says. “I haven’t heard nothing, except that she’s on tour.”

Officials at the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention came across a lot of crap in their latest study.

A new report says that poop in public pools is common after researchers found genetic material from E. coli — bacteria normally found in the human gut and feces — in 58 percent of pools in the Atlantic area.

“Swimmers frequently introduced fecal material into pools,” the report said, adding that the icky bacteria comes from pool users not showering before diving in and incidents of defecation.

The CDC also found genetic material from bacteria called Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which can cause skin rashes and ear infections, in 59 percent of pools. Researchers said the bacteria may originate from the environment or swimmers.

The season finale of Scandal crushed our predictions.

After watching the Thursday night TV staple, facing a bottle of wine would be completely understandable. We are just as intertwined with all this mess Olivia Pope has stirred up as her fellow Gladiators, to that point that it’s slightly disrespectful we have to wait three months for more political mischief.

Now that we’ve have no need for TV anymore — at least on Friday Eve — a reflection of this season is necessary.
