Monday night ya gurl attended Chamillionaire's listening session for his sophomore album entilted "Ultimate Victory". I gotta say I never really vibed with Chamillionaire like that until I met him at the listening session. This dude is so humble, so cool, so eloquent, and mature for rapper in this era. Before he introduced some of his new tracks, he gave a 10 minute passionate speech about his success, his work ethic, his loyalty to the art of hip hop, and overall the state of hip hop right now. On the real the speech is a must hear!!! I'll post up the video of his speech later, but for now you can check out some photos of the event. Chamillionaire also played the uncut version of his new video to the 1st single off of "Ultimate Victory" which features UK native Slick Rick and the single is called "Hip Hop Police". One word to describe the concept of the video and song...GENIUS!! Ice-T and his wifey CoCo rolled in the building...despite the gangsta act Ice-T fronts, he's a sweetie at heart. As promised here are some more photos from T-Pain's Album Release Party on June 5th. DJ Enuff had the crowd actin' a fool with all those club bangers. Folks were literally going bizzirk from jumping on couches to chicks dancing with their tops off! T-Pain was even gracious enough to buy everyone a drink for the night...bottles and glasses full to the brim with hypnotiq made it all the merrier. Some other folks in the building included Yung Joc, Yung Berg, The Shop Boyz, Charlie Murphy, Big Kapp, and a bunch of other folks. Enjoy the photos below.

The second "Party Like a RockStar" by the Shop Boyz banged out those speakers the crowd went nuts! Even The Shop Boyz, themselves, were hooting and hollering! The energy was so crazy DJ Enuff played it about 4 times in a 2 hour span...

It's better late than never...So this past Monday night I attended Ne-Yo's Album Release Party @ Mark Ecko showroom loft in NYC powered by Universal Music. I strolled in around 10:00pm, scouted the place for a familiar faces & peeped Chris Brown, America's Next Top Model chicks Nik & Daniel, Kanye West & fiance Alexis (yes, they're still engaged...peep the rock on her finger in the photo below), Brian Michael Cox and many others. It was a typical industry party with half of the folks in the room not even part of the industry but nonetheless I had a good time. I was hoping Ne-Yo would perform a couple of his hits but dude rolled up on stage for a quick 5 minutes and nonchantly walked off. Half an hour later...the party was over! Anywho, check out the photos I snapped below.
