BERMUDA in STyle
Hello VIXENS!!
This is my very first Vixen blog ever - so go easy on me! My name is KRISTI BYNN and I’ve bynn fortunate enough to travel around the world working, living, partying and more.
I would love to…….
1. Keep traveling
2. Bring the worlds of entertainment, fashion, beauty and community from a brown girl prospective directly to you
With that said; be patient, cross your fingers and let’s get this virtual travel thang poppin!

This past weekend I was invited to speak at a STyle Bermuda conference.
STyle Bermuda is an organization founded by Ms. Shiona Turni (Google her). Born and raised in Bermuda, Shiona is committed to sharing her knowledge, experience and passion for fashion with the youth of the island.
Although, I was only on the island for about 49 hours it was a fantastic experience and really deserves a little "blog time".
When I was waiting in the departure lounge at JFK airport I had no idea what I was in store for until Mr. Wouri Vice, Stylist to the Stars, arrived with only minutes to spare and the non-stop action began. (Google him too!)
For all my fashion ladybugs and VIXENS "in training" take good notes because I will and have dropped a few "fashion and beauty" names you MUST know if you trying to get in the game.
The ladies in Bermuda came hungry, ready to hustle and even more ready to secure upcoming internships in the industry. I love to see “us” ladies prepared and ready to make whatever we want happen.
They were bringing the heat one way or another......

VIBE Vixen was in the house for sure!! W Magazine, Seventeen Magazine, Giant Magazine and public relations reps from Victoria Secret and Christian Dior made guest appearances. Powerful ladies and gentleman making major moves.

STyle Bermuda really did the damn thing! The goal was to showcase careers in fashion, entertainment and beauty for young Bermudain women. Job well done – I’ve already received a few resumes and look forward to having the Bermuda girls visit the VIXEN office when they come to town.

Love this!
Bynn, I must totally agree with you! My family is from Bermuda and I must say that hands down Bermy is the most beautiful island in the world.
Pink sands, turqouise/see thru water. There's nothing like it. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.

Great work! Way to represent the Bermudians. My grandfather was from Bermuda, and our family has always kept close ties with all of our cousins (probably the whole damn island) in Bermuda. So I was excited to read your article. Everyone in my immediate family has been there except me. After reading this, I guess I really have to get down there now! Keep up the great work!

Ms. Bynn,
Thanks for sharing the experience. It brought back so many great memories. And being that I haven't been to Bermuda since my family reunion in '92,(way too long) I really think its about time I book my ticket. Keep doing the damn thang girl!

Wow! You are a very fashion forward individual and very much needed in the industry. The "brown girl perspective" is something that has been missing for too long so I am glad you are making the connection. Keep doing your thing!

Kristi Bynn, this is a great blog. I have never been to Bermuda, but I am on my way after reading this. I think it is fabulous that you are spreading your wings to seek out new and upcoming fashion in other parts of the world. We usually just hear about fashion in Europe, NYC, LA, and Miami. Keep doing what ya doing, and I look forward to your next "Around the World" blog.
Jazzy:)

Hello fellow vixen! It's "koko" from myspace. Just wanted to give you a big shout out and let you know that you're doing a great job. It's really a pleasure to know that Vibe Vixen is reaching out and educating the women in Bermuda. I have never heard of the STyle Conference and fashion stylist, Wouri Vice, until now, but I am not ashamed to say. It's made me realize that there are so many other people in the fashion industry, and events that go on even outside of the United States, so I really must stay on my "A" game.
Thanks again Bynn, hit us with another one!

This article is very helpful. I have been reading all kinds of articles about debt settlement and this one is like the light bulb that turns everything on because the arithmetic makes debt settlement very logical and puts inflation in the right perspective. Thanks!

National Transportation Safety Board recently divulged they had funded a project with the US auto makers for the past five years. The NTSB covertly funded a project whereby the auto makers were installing black boxes in four wheel drive pickup trucks in an effort to determine, in fatal accidents, the circumstances in the last 15 seconds before the crash.
They were surprised to find in 49 of the 50 states the last words of drivers in 61.2% of fatal crashes were, "Oh, Shit!"
Only the state of Texas was different, where 89.3% of the final words were, "Hey Y'all, hold my beer and watch this!"

Hey Ms. Kristi, I would have to totally agree with everything you said and all being that I am a Bermudian and one of the young ladies that participated in this conference that u speak of. I must start off by saying that you are a wonderful individual and have inspired me to follow my heart no matter how others may try to hinder me or make me feel as if what I want out of life isn't good enough! Thank You for sharing in this experience with me and I must say that I can tell that fashion is your passion! I hope to bump into you again somewhere and allow you to inspire me once more! Love ur spirit!
