It’s not everyday that a fashion brand can give back and connect women with other ladies around the world. As challenging as that sounds, it’s a reality for Della, a LA-based fashion line founded in 2009 by Tina Tangalakis who turned a volunteer trip to Ghana into a lifelong mission to better the livelihood of the local women. Now four years later, Tina works directly with a community in Hohoe, Ghana, to create boldly printed, handcrafted, socially responsible products.

This month, Urban Outfitters teams up with the brand to create an exclusive eight-piece capsule collection. The pieces are simple with pretty prints for the spring and summer. The purchase of each Della garment provides jobs, education and supports dozens of women working for a positive change in their life.

The exclusive diffusion line features eight styles crafted from traditional Ghanaian textiles including printed bralette tops, shorts, rompers, bomber jackets, and an array of accessories.

With that said, what is the best way to wear it? While simplicity is one route to take, like wearing a plain summer dress, you can also pair white with prints, accessories or even more white. Here are four ideas to help celebrate the season!

A statement-making shirt dress calls for minimal accessories. Here, Rihanna keeps it classy with a great ring and strappy gold heels. But for a edgier look, spring for a belt and different color shoes.

Laid back and casual more your thing? Layer a sweatshirt over a T-shirt and jeans. Add a patterned bottom for a dressier casual.

How does that that old adage go? “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something… black”? Not quite, but that was the case for 90210 actress Shenae Grimes on Friday when she married her model boyfriend Josh Beech in a black gown.

For her big day, Grimes’ wore a Vera Wang V-neck dress with a Chantilly lace bodice, distressed organza and a multi-layered crinkle tulle skirt.

VIBE Vixen: When did you realize you wanted to be a designer?
Erica Marie: I always wanted to be a designer—way before BGC. When they interviewed me for the spot on the show and asked me what I’d like to do [I said I wanted to] dress the Obama’s. I’ve just always wanted to design clothing and I could always envision my clothing on people.

What was the first piece of clothing you designed?
It was a T-shirt on the show in Vegas. We were at a T-shirt factory and I made one that said “About That life” because I used to say that a lot on the show. I love the fact that I was able to pick out all of the details.

VV: How do you describe your line?
EMF: Very urban and comfy. T-Shirts, tank tops, sweatshirts, sweatpants and hoodies. Just comfy cute clothing that girls can wear. It’s great for when you’re on your way to the airport, going to a photo shoot or even to the gym. It’s for the comfortable girl.

Why casual wear?
You don’t want to create something people won’t wear; I knew everyone would wear comfortable clothing. My celebrity friends wear it, they tweet and Instagram it and that’s good feedback for me.

Who are your favorite designers?
Louis Vuitton of course, and I love Bebe! I shop there all the time. Definitely my two favorites.

Is there anyone you would like to collaborate with?
Aside from Erica Mena and Tiny rocking my line, I would definitely like to create a men’s clothing line. I see my clothing line in rap videos like Gucci Man or Rocko. I would love to have a mainstream rapper rocking it. Hopefully I can merge the women’s line with the men’s and take it from there.

Would you like to expand beyond clothing?
I am really interested in expanding into shoes. A lot of people have told me to do it and I think it would be a great idea. I think it would be very successful, it’s just a matter of creating a shoe that people would buy and finding the resources to do it.

Online at BellaBadBitches. You can even customize your orders. It’s all my designs but you can make it your own by choosing the colors and fonts you want. You can also add your name like Erica Mena and Tiny did.

What’s next for Erica Marie?
I have new music coming out! I collaborated with R&B superstar Sean Mcgee from Ohio. So look out for that Mixtape coming soon. And like I said, I’d like to go into shoe design and hopefully accessories after that.
