It’s difficult to encourage people to eat for their health, but will they do it for the looks? We’ve done a little research and created a list of 11 foods that can potentially provide flawless hair and youthful, glowing skin.

Strawberries

Strawberries are packed with Vitamin C. One cup a day can build collagen, a protein that promotes youthful skin.

Walnuts

Drop those pricey beauty products and grab a handful of walnuts. These nuts are rich in alpha-linolenic acid which makes skin moist and supple.

Tea

Tea (green tea in particular) protects skin cells and keeps skin looking forever young.

Yogurt 

Yogurt has multiple beauty benefits. This dairy treat contains calcium and phosphorus which strengthen tooth enamel and makes them pearly white. It’s also rich in protein which fights hair breakage and gives tresses a silky finish. Make a hair mask using 1/2 cup of yogurt, 3 tablespoons of honey and 1 egg yolk. Leg Raises

Lie flat on your back. Lift your legs to create a 90 degree angle. Next, lower your legs leaving them six inches above the ground. Your legs should remain completely straight throughout this exercise.

Eagle Pose Crunches

Lie flat on your back and pose in the yoga eagle position. While remaining in this position, allow your elbows and your knees to touch by doing a crunch.

Planking

Planking is more than just a Twitter craze; it can also be beneficial to your abs. Lie flat with your face towards the ground. Lift your body by supporting it with your elbows and feet. Keep your body as straight as possible to gain full benefits of this exercise. Hold this position for 20 to 60 seconds.

The 2nd annual awards show will be taped October 13 at the Loews Theatre in New York City. R&B songbirds Ciara, Brandy, India Arie and Keyshia Cole are scheduled to perform.
