When Nicki Minaj released the cover art for “Anaconda,” the internet went meme-crazy and last week the song topped the iTunes chart soon after it’s release. Young Money HQ reports that “Anaconda” made the Queen Barb the first female rapper to snag the number one spot with a solo single on the iTunes chart.
Her collabo track with UK songstress Jessie James and pop princess Ariana Grande “Bang Bang” sits in the number two slot, which also makes the Queens native the first femcee to have two singles on the chart simultaneously. Nicki has been releasing behind the scenes footage and thirst trap teasers for the track’s video, where she and her twerk team make the jungle their playground.
Congrats Nicki Nick!
