The NFL preseason has begun and talks about who will perform at the 2015 halftime show are underway. So far, three acts have been selected as a finalists—Coldplay and BFFs Katy Perry and Rihanna. But unfortunately for them, performing at the biggest halftime show may cost them, literally. The NFL, which doesn’t provide payment to halftime performers, is now asking the artists to pay them instead, reports the Wall Street Journal.

“While notifying the artists’ camps of their candidacy, league representatives also asked at least some of the acts if they would be willing to contribute a portion of their post-Super Bowl tour income to the league, or if they would make some other type of financial contribution, in exchange for the halftime gig,” the NFL said in a statement.

There has been no word from Rihanna nor Katy Perry’s camp about the possibility of performing.

Last year’s halftime show, starring Bruno Mars, generated more viewers than the actually game with 115.3 million people tuning in. Superbowl XLIX will take place on February 1st, 2015 at the University of Phoenix stadium in Glendale, AZ.
