TMZ first broke the news that Dawn Richard and Aubrey O’Day got into a studio fight where the police were called. And less than a week later they released a statement revealing they tried and failed for the second time.
In a group reunion that seemed shorter than Kim Kardashian’s marriage to Kris Humphries, Aubrey released a personal statement. In a lengthy letter she tells her side of the fight, denying any fault in the situation.
“During a recent group meeting, a business conversation took a turn for the worst when my group member punched me in the back of my head while I was speaking to another associate. To be clear, she was not physically engaged or threatened prior to her attack on me.”
She continued to express her distaste in Dawn and also confirmed the group’s official separation.
Bex, known to be the quiet one, spoke loads in her own personal full page letter, also outing Dawn as the thorn of the group.
“As for the actions that have brought us to this broken ending—I did not witness a shouting match, a cat fight or a brawl. I witnessed a single direct punch. In reflecting on this situation, I recalled a journal entry I wrote back in April—As you can tell, I have been avoiding saying names. However, this was my personal reaction to escalating events that led up to my overall frustrations with Dawn….months ago.”
Both ladies, obvious allies through it all released a joint statement reconfirming their individual points. While O’Day and Bex had lots to say, it was fist throwing Dawn Richard that took the quiet route. Without releasing a chapter book-worthy statement, she told TMZ, the stories about the fight being all her fault are “exaggerrated lies and false accusations.”
She also took to her twitter to defend herself. In two tweets she said, “And even still I was working with both teams to still release the album when this story was leaked without anyone being consulted.” and then apologized to their fans, “Extremely sorry to the fans. You don’t deserve this. You’re worth more.”
With statements released from the remaining group members sans the former Dirty Money member, we hope Richard has more to say then her above tweets and TMZ statement.
