Good news sailing souls, Jhene Aiko has announced a release date for her debut album Souled Out. RapUp reports that her Def Jam/Atrium project will drop August 25th.
The announcement comes after she let loose the Cocaine-80s assisted single, “To Love and Die,” last month. As far as features, “The Worst” singer says she kept them light. The only confirmed guest spot is from her 5-year-old daughter, Namiko Love.
“This album, from top to bottom, sounds like you’re on a journey,” the LA native told VIBE. Once you get to the last songs with my daughter, the songs where I’m talking about what life means. It’s just enlightenment.”
