According to Buzzfeed, Frank Ocean announced that he was taking his career in a new direction and fired his longtime manager, Christian Clancy of 4 Strikes Management. Clancy managed the Channel Orange star since 2010. He also let go of his publicist Heathcliff Beru of Life or Death PR. He replaced Beru—a rep told Billboard they were “relieved” by his decision—with ID PR.
There’s no word on who will take over his management position yet, but the 26-year-old isn’t worried about that. He’s reportedly preoccupied with the follow up to his debut album. Project producers promise the project will “blow the sophomore album myth out of the water.” He will be releasing it later this year.
