Wendy Williams in taking her hot topics on the road.
The radio personality turned talk show host will be making appearances at a new resident comedy series in Las Vegas called “Lipshtick: The Perfect Shade of Stand Up,” Broadway World reports. The show will debut July 11th at the Sands Showroom and will mark the first time in Vegas history that the comedy stage will be dominated by female comediennes. The series, which was announced today (May 21) by Whitney Cummings at a press conference at The Venetian, will star 14 other funny women including Joy Behar, Loni Love, Lisa Lampinelli, Susan Essman, Jen Kirkman, Natasha Leggero, Wendy Liebman, Jennifer Coolidge, Heather McDonald, Caroline Rhea, Rita Rudner, Iliza Schlesinger and Whitney Cummings.
“Our success with comedic legends like Rita Rudner and Joan Rivers have proven that ‘girls rule’ when it comes to comedy,” said John Caparella, president and chief operating officer of The Venetian, The Palazzo and Sands Expo. “Further, we believe that female-driven comedy is now as popular as ever!”
Tickets go on sale today. Shows will be held on Fridays at 10:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 7:30pm.
