In 2014, racism still exists and Kim Kardashian is well aware of the issues that her mulatto baby girl may have to face as she grows older. Yesterday (May 7), the reality television star posted a three paragraph blurb about racial discrimination and her recent feelings towards the matter.
Kim explains that she never really gave racism a lot of thought until she became a mother. Her recent racially discriminatory experiences that have made her take notice.
“I feel a responsibility as a mother, a public figure, a human being, to do what I can to make sure that not only my child, but all children, don’t have to grow up in a world where they are judged by the color of their skin, or their gender, or their sexual orientation,” Kim said. “ I want my daughter growing up in a world where love for one another is the most important thing.”
