That’s right, Vixens—the above photo is of a human woman.
Valeria Lukyanova, a native Russian, found herself thrusted into the spotlight earlier this year after vowing to transform herself into the exact image of a Barbie doll. This month, the controversial subject was captured by GQ Russia cameras and offered the opportunity to talk about her controversial look.
“Everyone wants a slim figure. Everyone gets breasts done. Everyone fixes up their face if it’s not ideal, you know? Everyone strives for the golden mean. It’s global now,” she says about the motivation to go under the knife.
“It’s unacceptable to me. The very idea of children brings out this deep revulsion in me…I’d rather die from torture because the worst thing in the world is to have a family lifestyle.”
Adding more insult to injury, the 28-year old is also “against feminism” and thinks mixing races is a form of “degeneration.”
“For example, a Russian marries an Armenian, they have a kid, a cute girl, but she has her dad’s nose. She goes and files it down a little, and it’s all good. Ethnicities are mixing now, so there’s degeneration, and it didn’t used to be like that. Remember how many beautiful women there were in the 1950s and 1960s, without any surgery? And now, thanks to degeneration, we have this. I love this Nordic image of myself. I have white skin; I am a Nordic type—perhaps a little Eastern Baltic, but closer to Nordic.”
Where’s Iyanla Vanzant when you need her? Vixens–what are your thoughts on the human Barbie?
