Nicki Minaj has decided that she wants to get back to her hip hop roots and ditch the crazy costumes and alter egos for her next album. The Cash Money Records recording artist hasn’t been seen rocking her former faux follicles since unveiling her real hair via Instagram last month and recently riled up the red carpet during the MTV Movie Awards in a McQueen basic, black dress and natural hair. “I went so far to the other side that there’s only one place left to go,” Nicki said during an MTV interview. Nicki the Barbie is no more.
Her upcoming album, The Pink Print will feature songs like “Looking Ass N—a,” “Chi-Raq” and other songs that represent the the MC’s rap roots. the Grammy-winning artist claims that returning to her foundation isn’t something that she planned, just something that happened.
