Oprah Winfrey is saying goodbye to Harpo Studios, a place she called home for over 20 years.
The Chicago location housed The Oprah Winfrey Show from 1990 to 2011, but will soon be owned by a developer.
“We have entered into a purchasing agreement with Sterling Bay for the four-building Harpo Studios campus in Chicago’s West Loop,” a rep from Harpo said in a statement. “We expect the transaction to be closed in 30 days. The property will be leased back to Harpo for two years, and the studio will continue to produce programming for OWN.”
The $32m deal will close in 30 days, but the studio will remain on the 3.5-acre, 200 person employed campus for another two years.
