Vanity Fair is finally embracing all of Hollywood’s talent.
This year, half of their three-panel “Annual Hollywood Issue” features well deserving black actors and actresses. Stand out newbie Lupita Nyong’o rocks a gorgeous gold gown as she stands firmly in the middle of the other 12 selected celebrities. She’s joined by fellow stars Michael B Jordan, Naomie Harris, Chadwick Boseman, Chiwetel Ejiofor and father-to-be Idris Elba.
The Annie Leibovitz-photographed cover “celebrates a year of spectacular film with a group of distinguished actors.” Each featured celebrity had a stand out year with their roles in films like The Wolf of Wall Street, Blue is the Warmest Color, 12 Years a Slave, Dallas Buyer’s Club, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Gravity, 42, and August: Osage County and Fruitvale Station. Others included in the prestigious cover are Lea Sexdoux, George Clooney, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto and Julia Roberts, who sits atop Elba’s lap.
The celebratory issue hits newsstands on Feb 11th.
