At just nine and seven years old, Kendall and Kylie Jenner were thrown into the spotlight as part of E!’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians franchise. Today, they’re both teenagers and well on their way to solo stardom like their older siblings Kim, Khloe and Kourtney. This month, the brunette siblings are rocking some serious designer duds (Tory Burch and Pavon) for the March 2014 issue of Marie Claire Mexico and talking about life as famous teens.
“Sometimes we have to take a step back and realize that with the opportunities we have, we also have a lot of power to change things,” says Kylie (right). “Sometimes we can complain about the paparazzi and about being so public, but I think we have realized that there is just so much that we could do and that we definitely wanna pursue.”
Kendall, who recently made her NY Fashion Week debut is chasing after a supermodel career a la Giselle Bundchen and Miranda Kerr while her younger sister hopes to stay behind the scenes and/or conquer the silver screen.
“Even as a kid, I remember always looking at my mom’s magazines. I would look up to them and I thought they were so beautiful and they seemed very elegant and cool. It’s just something I really wanted to be,” gushes Kendall. Kylie adds, “Right now I love designing and I want to pursue that career once I turn 18, but acting is something I would regret not giving a chance when I’m older, so I would love to try it and see if I like it.”
