Actress Kym Whitley is back with a new season of her docu-series, Raising Whitley. The series follows the comedian as she adjust to motherhood after a shocking phone call left her with a four-day-old baby, Joshua, and the mother–which she was mentoring at the time–was no where to be found.
In season one, we watched her redefine the meaning of “it takes a village to raise a child” as her friends aka “The Village” are helping her raise Joshua together. After a successful first season on OWN, she’s back but this time she’s tackling childhood allergies based on an incident involving her now 2 and 1/2 son. Josh, whom she’s not fully aware of his medical history based on the circumstances, had an allergic reaction to peanut butter his nanny fed him, Kym created the “Don’t Feed Me” campaign. It features awareness t-shirts and care packs that parents can fill out indicating their child’s allergies.
The new episodes will start airing this Saturday January 4, 2014 at 9pm EST.
