The Breakfast Club Grills Nia Long On ‘The Best Man Holiday,’ Roles For Black Actors in Hollywood and More

“Every man’s fantasy for the past 20 years,” said Charlamagne Tha God when actress Nia Long stopped by The Breakfast Club. The youthful starlet discussed why a sequel for Best Man Holiday was released 15 years later.

“I think Malcolm Lee wanted to make sure the story was worthy, that there was something interesting to tell,” the Brooklyn native said. “When you think about life the amount of things that happen in 15 years is probably a lot more interesting than what happens in 5 years.”

She also weighed in on the lack of roles in Hollywood for Black actors, “vintage vaginas,” being with Spurs coach Ime Udoka and reveals if she ever turned down a role because she didn’t think a male lead was worthy. Check out the full Q&A above.
