Being apart of Beyonce’s team is a career dream come true, just ask Yosra El-Essawy, a former wedding photographer turned Beyonce’s tour photographer.
“Beyonce specifically is the only celebrity that I’ve ever vocalized wanting to photograph, ever,” Yosra reveals in a youtube post. “It was never because of her outward beauty, I mean, that’s obvious to any person who has eyes. It’s her inner beauty – there’s just something she emanates.”
Yosra El-Essawy was recently diagnosed with stage four esophageal cancer. It wasn’t cancer that broke her spirits but the sacrifices she had to make once her brother—who’s a doctor—told her she couldn’t return to the tour, ”just hearing that…it crushed me more than being told I had cancer.”
This once in a lifetime opportunity was a blessing that the photography is grateful for, ”I have never felt more grateful in my life,” she says. “This is a gift to me. This period is happening for me, not to me, to the point [where] I don’t even feel sick. I feel incredibly, incredibly blessed.”
Since her tour departure, the tumor has reduced 30% and her health is much better she posted on Facebook.
