If any man should be on the cover of GQ, it should be Idris Elba. He’s a stellar actor with a gorgeous smile and sweet personality. Could he seriously be any more fab? The British king posed for GQ‘s October issue that serves as the magazine’s “How-To Issue.” Styling in Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren and Bottega Veneta, Idris reveals details about his love life and childhood.

On finding out the child he was raising is not his son: “To be given that and then have it taken away so harshly was like taking a full-on punch in the face: POW.”
On playing Stringer Bell on The Wire: “That really is more about the writing of The Wire than it is the performance. You know, Stringer Bell is a great character that was written. I happened to play him, but it could’ve been anybody playing that role.”
