Don’t keep Weaves in Forever
Weaves should be installed for no more than three months at a time. In between weave installations, it is recommended to wait at least a week two so that your natural hair gets a break and a chance to breathe.

Detangling Your Hair After Weave Removal
After taking out your weave, it is vital that you detangle your hair as much as possible before putting water to it. After taking out your braids use a wide-tooth comb to remove as much of the dead hair as possible. Do not be alarmed from the shedding of your hair.

Next, part your hair into four sections. Saturate each section with your choice of hair oil and comb through it again. After your hair is fully detangled, you are ready to wash! Since your hair has been braided up for a while you’ll want to use a clarifying shampoo to really get your hair clean. Follow up with a moisturizing conditioner and then a deep conditioner. It is also strongly recommended to get a trim after taking out a weave.
