Tsk Tsk Tsk. J.R. Smith really loves living up to the bad boy image. The 2013 Sixth Man of the Year has been suspended for 5 games without pay for violating the NBA’s anti-drug program. He tested positive for marijuana, according to the NY Post.
The suspension goes into effect once Smith is fit to play. He is currently undergoing rehab after knee surgery in July. According to the NBA policy, a player must fail a drug test three times before they are suspended. I guess he just couldn’t say no.
