BET has been served. No not by Omarion and friends, but by gay and transgender TV personality B. Scott. Scott who’s known for his over the top personality and feminine appearance, is suing the network for discrimination. In the $2.5 million lawsuit Scott claims BET ordered him to change out of a dress and into men’s clothing before he got on air as a Style Correspondent during the 2013 BET Awards.

The day after the show Scott explained his feeling on his website: “It’s not just about the fact that BET forced me to pull my hair back, asked me to take off my makeup, made me change my clothes and prevented me from wearing a heel. It’s more so that from the mentality and environment created by BET made me feel less than and that something was wrong with who I am as a person.”

Scott is asking for a public apology from the network in addition to $2.5 million in damages for alleged discrimination based on gender identity or expression, discrimination based on sexual orientation, breach of contract, wrongful termination in violation of public policy and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
