Little Mix

Music reality shows have churned out countless winners in the past ten years. In fact, out of the dozens, we can only count a handful that have gone on to have successful careers. Out of all these young (and sometimes old) hopefuls, just one group has come out on top.

Put together for the eighth season of UK X Factor, Perrie Edwards (One Direction’s newest boo), Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirwall would go on to win as the collective known as Little Mix. One look at them and you’ll see why. Together they have enough style to compete with Rihanna, YouTube views that would put Justin’s “beliebers” to shame and their voices are flawless.

Like puzzle pieces, these four individuals somehow fit together. Each with their own unique style, voice and backstory—it’s their differences that have quickly made them a global phenomenon. Since releasing their album DNA last fall, the super group has already sold 2 million albums and danced their way to American soil—and success.

There’s nothing little about Little Mix. Read on to learn how Jade and Leigh Anne broke into America, and how they dispel misconceptions. —Nicole Brown
